Thanks to Kay Dirks, Jan Becker and Elvin Goolsby the corner of D and Third is a lush Garden of vegetables. Chard, zucchini, onions, radishes, lettuce, peas are growing rapidly and ready to harvest currently. The corn, tomatoes, beans and carrots are coming on rapidly.
Several town people have stopped by and pulled weeds, moved sprinklers, and admired the work that has been done. The kids should be pleased come October as Jan and Kay have made sure that there are several pumpkin plants and they are coming on strong.
Stop by Third and D street and watch the garden grow.
