At the Sprague Chamber of Commerce Banquet, on January 25th, Kay Dirks was identified as the Citizen of the year. Kay has been very active in the Sprague/Lamont community for many years and has done an outstanding job of working on the Community Garden, the After-School Program, etc. Many things this year and too many to mention in all the previous years she has been in this community.
One of the special, unassigned activities that Kay has done for the community in general is maintain the flower boxes in front and along the side of the Community Center at the corner of 3rd and C St. The blooms explode across the building and enhance the appearance and the wonderful smell is a nice addition on a hot day.
